Sarvanga Abhyanga

Application of medicated oil all over the body in a systematic manner with specialized technique in a specified time with two therapists performing the procedure in a synchronized way, followed by swedana (where indicated) and bath

Kati Basti

Procedure in which medicated warm oil is made to retain over kati pradesa (lumbar region) for a specified time period for local action, with or without local massage within a tank like frame formed of black gram dough

Ksheeradhara

Procedure in which medicated milk is continuously poured upon the forehead, using a special instrument 'Dhara Yantra' and 'Dhara Patra' allowing it to flow over the scalp

Shirobasti

Procedure in which the medicated warm oil is made to retain over scalp inside a cap like structure made of rexene/leather placed around the scalp in systematic manner for a specified time followed by head massage and bath

Hrud Basti

Procedure in which medicated warm oil is made to retain with or without local massage , within a tank like frame formed of black gram or wheat dough over the hrud pradesha for a specified time period for loacal fomentation action.

Ekanga Pichu karma

Procedure of applying the oil to the diseased part of the body for a specificed time period for local fomentation action.This is also a type of swedana performed to the limited portion of the body
